Amazing Taiwan “Year of Bay Tourism” Great Offers Available at the LA Travel & Adventure Show

Following the record-breaking number of over 560,000 American visitors to Taiwan in 2017, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau promoted this year’s “2018 Year of Bay Tourism” at the nation’s most popular travel events – The Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show. “Year of Bay Tourism” showcases Taiwan’s 1,500 kilometers of stunning coastline and many charming outlying islands, each with their own distinctive ecological landscapes. Travel enthusiasts took advantage of exclusive travel deals and discovered the fun of Taiwan's outlying islands.

To align effort with “The Most Beautiful Bay Carnival” that takes place in September in Penghu, the bureau has specially selected Guishan Island, Green Island, Orchid Island, Xiaoliuqiu, Qimei, Beigan and a few others as the ten most charming islands to be featured; world-famous local attractions including Penghu’s Double Heart Stones, handmade wooden boats of Orchid Island, and the green reef turtles of Xiaoliuqiu accentuate the islands’ cultural activities and natural beauty. These beautiful islands will sure to elevate international tourists’ impression of Taiwan and their interest in visiting.

The travel gurus from Taiwan Tourism Bureau were on-site to recommend personalized itineraries and provide in-depth answers regarding Taiwan travel. The bureau prepared exciting performances at the Global Beats Stage for attendees to enjoy: a lively traditional Taiwanese folk drum show by the Dance Impression Productions, and a special singing performance by Amis singer Usay Kawlu who is the second runner up of the “One Million Star” TV singing competition and a contestant of “the Voice of China.” Travel agency partners offered exclusive travel packages and shared all the essential tips with the audience at the Destination Theatre. Another highlight of the show was the appearance of the rising culinary star, David Kuo, chef and founder of the Little Fatty restaurant who demonstrated the making of squid ink Xiaolongbao aka soup dumplings, a combination of the best of traditional Taiwanese recipe and his creative inspiration and shared samples of the delicacy with the audience.

Taichung World Flora Exposition is another featured tourism event for this year that takes place in November 3rd.
